My name is Gerda van Keulen-van Hamersveld. I live in the Netherlands and was born in 1954. I married Jos and we have 3 grown up children. Astrid (1978), Marcel (1980) and Mariëlle (1984).
As a child I played with dolls all the time. In 1988 I visited a doll fair and was very surprised of all these beautiful dolls. I wanted to try that too and so I came home with all the necessary tools and materials and started sculpting. Soon my first fantasy doll was born. To learn more about proportions, I bought all kind of books and took a seminar. I liked a lot of different styles and tried children dolls, fairies, trolls, witches and fimo miniatures.
In 1999 I visited the Ahoy Fair in Rotterdam and saw the realistic babies and I had to try that too!! Right now I mostly sculpt baby and toddler dolls. Most of them have found a new home all over the world.
